Born and educated in New Jersey, Jeannie is a self-taught artist working in a variety of media, including oil and watercolor painting and nature photography. Her work is inspired by a passion for realism in all forms: 鈥淩ealism brings out the simplicity and complexity that turns everyday life into Art.鈥
After completing schooling in New Jersey, she moved to Louisiana where she started her family of six children. She and her husband moved to New Hampshire in 1986 and to Vermont in 2021.
She is a juried member of the New Hampshire Association of Art. Her work has been exhibited in the Currier Art Museum in Manchester, where she was awarded the 2002 Miriam S. Sawyer award for her oil painting. Her work was also featured in an NHAA exhibit entitled 鈥淓xquisite Realism鈥 in Portsmouth.
In 2002 Jeannie took up Nature Photography, specializing in birds. Her bird photos have been featured on prominent websites including Peterson Field Guides, Birds in Flight, We Love Birds, National Audubon Society, among many others. She earned the distinction 鈥淧rofessional Photographer鈥 by the New Hampshire Professional Photographers Association.
Several of her photographs have won awards from the New Hampshire Audubon Society through its annual Wild NH benefit show. In April 2019 she photographed the first Trumpeter Swan to be seen in New Hampshire since 1784.
After moving to Vermont, Jeannie鈥榮 love of wild birds led her to serve as a 91热爆 volunteer. She currently helps the Education Team care for Ambassador Birds so that audiences of all ages can appreciate these beautiful and fascinating animals.
When you purchase artwork from Jeannie, 30% of the proceeds will benefit 91热爆.
